Young Geographer of the Year 2022 Achievement

29th November 2022

Congratulations to Lara in Year 8 who was selected as a highly commended entry in the Key Stage 3 category of the Young Geographer of the Year 2022 competition.

Young Geographer of the Year is a national competition run by the Royal Geographical Society to encourage pupils to engage with geographical issues. This year’s competition asked pupils to explore the question ‘Where, how and why?’ and asked young people where they want to travel to, how they would get there, and why they want to travel there.

On Friday 25 November 2022, Lara, alongside the other winning and highly commended pupils, was awarded her certificate and bag of geographical prizes at a wonderful ceremony held at the Royal Geographical Society.

We are all extremely proud of Lara for her excellent competition entry and being selected from over 400 entries in the Key Stage 3 category.
