A very warm welcome to our new Head

4th January 2023

Palmers Green High School is delighted to welcome a new Head, Ms Sarah Proudlove, who joins us from Mill Hill International (MHI). Ms Proudlove moved to North London in April 2015 for the role of Deputy Head at MHI, assisting the Head in the creation of the school which opened in September that year. Prior to coming to London, Ms Proudlove taught in Venice and Lyon and at two British boarding schools, Felsted School in Essex, and Cheltenham College.

When not working, Ms Proudlove stays healthy by hiking in the countryside and practising yoga. She is also a committed member of Crouch End Festival Chorus having discovered her passion for singing while at school.

Ms Proudlove said, “I am very proud to be the new Head of Palmers Green High School. From my first visit to PGHS, I was struck by the positive relationships between staff and pupils which was also reflected in the warm welcome I received. I was impressed by the curiosity, creativity and love of learning that I witnessed in lessons. During the autumn term 2022, I had an extensive handover with Mrs Kempster and I am very grateful to her and to all of the staff who contributed to this. This term my priority is getting to know the pupils, parents and staff and I look forward to working with all members of the school community in this next chapter of PGHS’ history.”
